Addressing Unmet Needs in Multiple Sclerosis
Lyfebulb is a patient engagement platform with a mission to help those living with chronic disease using the power of the patient. To accomplish this, Lyfebulb partners with industry sponsors to source user-driven innovation from the Community and beyond. The company brings together top Patient Entrepreneurs (either live or virtually) to share ideas and learn from each other in workshops and panels led by curated guests.
In partnership with Bristol Myers Squibb, Lyfebulb recently kicked off its 2021 Innovation Challenge – Addressing Unmet Needs in MS. The Challenge, part of the summit that Lyfebulb and Bristol Myers Squibb will host virtually next year from March 10-11, is open to individuals who have personally been affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), patients or their loved ones and their support network. It aims to find fresh solutions outside of therapy that can help address the daily challenges and needs of people with MS and help improve their lives. Judges include medical and patient leaders.

Why are challenges important to Lyfebulb? Has the call-to-action sparked change?
They are core to our belief that patients and care partners can be innovators and allow them to show strength—going from weakness and loneliness to control and action. The idea that unmet patient needs are best identified through the lived experience, followed by problem solving and entrepreneurial efforts really empower our patients and care partners.
For entrepreneurs, what does Lyfebulb's support mean?
For the winners, financial rewards, but for all of them awareness, networking and potential partnerships with leading healthcare companies, investments by VCs, and exposure to a larger community.
The finalists will be selected on January 11, 2021, with the winner of the $25,000 grant being announced on March 12, 2021.
