Home for the Holidays
Interior designer Kristen Rivoli offers some cheerful ways to decorate your home this holiday season.
When it comes to holiday décor and ordering online, there’s no time like the present! No matter what holiday you celebrate, people love having décor out, whether it’s a Christmas tree, boughs with lights, or a wreath for the front door.
Fortunately, there are many companies that can have trees and other holiday décor delivered straight to your front door.
The biggest national companies offering free delivery for holiday décor are Lowe’s and Home Depot. They have everything you would want for the holidays, from small potted trees to large trees, holiday plants and flowers, Garland and greenery, lights, and also outdoor decorations. Whether you have a smaller apartment or a spacious home, you’ll find something to fit the bill. And while your tree may not be as fresh as those ordered directly from the farm, purchasing at a larger store allows the ability to tack on plenty of accessories: Christmas lights, hardware like tree stands and saws, and a wide variety of other holiday decor that is also available when you order.
Another company that delivers nationally is Walddie. You put in your zip code and select the nearest Christmas tree farm that’s available for you to pick yours from. All different species of tree and sizes are available. You will need to provide the tree stand, lights, and decorations.
This year, in addition to offering live tree delivery to your doorstep, Walmart is partnering with Handy to install all your Christmas lights, making your home merry and bright without the hassle.
If you’re living in tighter quarters or don’t want the upkeep of a large tree and decorations, then having a potted tree that is pre-decorated in holiday cheer is a great solution and will make your room festive. It’s also a wonderful alternative for the elderly or wheelchair users.
Lastly, you can ring in the holidays with this beautiful artificial green pine with glistening lights set in an attractive urn that can be placed outside your front door or even used inside as your tree.
After the past year, it is even more important than ever to deck those halls out!
